»Aerocase
"I'm scared for my PSP's well being."

In need of a slim case that I could put in my pocket, while still protecting my $250 investment, I found this little number.

Actually available in several different knock-offs, the Aerocase offers decent protection AND storage (even holds a few UMDs).

The semi-hard outer case closes with 2 zippers, which I thought was odd at first, but they do the job of closing up the case. The surface seems to be made of a sort of stiff, rubberized foam. It will not hold up well to severe drops or crushing, but protects well enough from minor bumps and jarring.

Inside, the material is soft and has a flap which covers the screen. I didn't like the idea of some foreign material coming in contact with the uber-scratch magnet of the faceplate, so I had to keep my micro-fiber cloth covering it as well.

The top half has pockets to hold 3 or 4 UMDs, which made me nervous. I was concerned about them getting crushed due to the not-so-hard outer shell. Also, there wouldn't be much room in such a cramped space, so I opted to leave them out.

Another disappointment: The case is not made too precisely ... my PSP kept sliding around inside a bit. This also made me nervous.. I could almost hear the spider web scratches being made every time I picked up the case!

Pros:
• It's cheap ... I paid $8 for mine
• Easy to find. I saw a clone in my local FuncoLand (Same design, but with a mesh covering on top)
• You can store a few UMDs inside the case

Cons:
• It's cheap. And as such, isn't made with high quality material or standards.
• It's soft; too soft, in my opinion.
